Their hands-on, interactive science camps are for children ages 4-11 and topics incorporate every type of science. Science Explorers is celebrating its thirteenth year of providing hands-on science programs. They have been nominated twice for “Educator of the Year” and were the recipient of the “Making a Difference” award.

Engineering & Physics NEW CAMP!! – Amusement Park Adventures

Come along for the ride as we build, mix and spin our way to an awesome Science Explorers’ carnival day! Visit the midway where you’ll experience a rockin’ rollercoaster, bouncing bungees, creations and concoctions straight from the lab including a super spin-art machine, homemade ice- cream, awesome art potions and a “gingerly-made” soda.

Geology/Biology: 3rd Rock from the Sun

Explore the wonders of nature here on earth. Investigate insect-eating plants, become a designer and make natural tie dyes from things that grow around us. Create a natural first aid kit with plants that help sooth insect bites and build a volcano that you can erupt over and over!

Earth’s Mysteries

Discover the amazing mysteries of the earth! Go back in time and create cast fossils, a close look at the food chain by dissecting an owl pellet, harness solar power to cook a yummy snack and create a tornado in a bottle!

Physics: FUN-omenal Physics

What do you get when you take the physics of motion, add into some electrifying experiments, and mix it up with some chemistry? Everyone has a blast! Create a motorized invention, experiment with light and flight, make a kaleidoscope and experiment with giant floating bubbles.

Physistry

A cool combination of physics and chemistry make up this awesome camp. Use chromatography to separate the colors in candy, mix crazy chemical reactions, build an electric game, investigate the effects of air pressure and compete in a tall tower engineering competition!

Marine Biology: Take A Dive

Dive into the world of marine biology! Dissect a real shark, participate in a fisherman’s challenge, examine the anatomy of a fish and learn the ancient technique of gytaku or “fish rubbing.” Also,learn to survive at sea with a homemade solar still, create a kelp forest and make your own submarine.

Under the Sea

Explore marine biology and oceanography as you come face- to-face with some unique sea creatures such as squid. Bring to life genuine Triassic Triops, conduct a whale adaptations lab and examine many “weird wonders of the sea”.

Chemistry: Potions, Powders & Polymers

Is it science or magic? You’ll find out! Create erupting foam monsters, conduct amazing air pressure experiments, dig for hidden treasures, investigate the science of illusions and build spectroscopes to view the spectrum of different types of light.

Mysteries & Mixtures

We’ll reveal many mysteries of science as we investigate creepy creatures, learn troll tricks, capture a rainbow in a bottle, make instant snow, mix glowing slime and conduct lab tests on mystery substances.
