Congratulations to CCCBI’s 2012 Female Business Leader of the Year!

THE CHESTER COUNTY Chamber of Business & Industry’s Women-in-Business Committee is pleased to announce the 2012 winner of the Female Business Leader of the Year Award—Joan Walsh, co-founder and partner of Kashbox Coaching. As an advocate for women, a community volunteer, an active Chamber member, and accomplished entrepreneur, speaker and author, Joan holds an outstanding record of success worthy of accolades and recognition.

Joan Walsh and David Herdlinger founded Kashbox Coaching in 2009. Serving more than 100 clients throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond, Joan helped drive revenue growth by 35% in the last seven years. She serves both personal and corporate clients and conducts leadership training seminars and workshops in Pennsylvania and Delaware. As a partner of Kashbox Coaching, Joan guides women to discover and nurture their passions and strengths. She helps them develop skills they need to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Author of Ready Set Plan Go!: Strategies to Accelerate Your Success (2007), Joan offers effective strategies to help readers gain focus, balance and accomplishment in their lives. She has also authored Blazing Your Own Trail: A Guide For Women on the Way Up (2009), based on interviews with three successful local women, and coauthored Coach: 10.5 Reasons to Hire One (2010).

A working mother of two sons pursuing college educations, Joan is fully engaged in the community and has taken a number of leadership roles. She assisted in planning a Women’s Leadership Forum, a two-year program in which she was a keynote speaker and workshop presenter. In 2009, Joan co- founded 21st Century Women’s Leadership Program focusing on entrepreneurs, business owners and women working in small to medium size businesses.

Joan is an active member of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry. She was a member of the committee that assisted in its Accreditation Program in 2010- 2011. Her participation helped lead to the Chamber’s four-star rating for accreditation, making it one of only nine in the Commonwealth recognized as accredited Chambers and in the top 3% accredited in the nation.

CCCBI will present the award to Joan Walsh at the 2012 Women-in-Business Dinner on Thursday, April 26, 2012, 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Concord Country Club, 1601 Wilmington Pike, West Chester, PA.
