Favorites to Follow – A RED Alert
February is RED Month ~ While every month should be a heart healthy month, in February we celebrate it. Build awareness in your home and community. Wear red, exercise daily, eat consciously, create romance, visit your doctor for an annual check-up, and take good care of your body’s engine – your heart. Most importantly, love yourself and others… your heart will be happy.
Reality Recipe
When was the last time you built a snowman, or jumped in the freshly fallen show and created a snow angel? Get outside and enjoy the brisk fresh air and sunshine. Your body needs vitamin D—just 20 minutes daily in the sunlight will do your body good.
Come in from the cold and warm up with a comforting bowl of Chicken Vegetable Tortellini Soup (recipe on opposite page) while building your body’s immunities, naturally.
A Recipe for Table Suggestions
- Create a feeling of warmth and romance—light a log in your fireplace and candles throughout your home.
- Decorate with snowmen and shades of white in January. In February, incorporate red and pink in the mix for Valentine’s Day.
- Relax with warmth, family, friends and a cup of cocoa (don’t forget the marshmallows) around your kitchen or dining room table. Truly enjoy each other’s company.
