Comprehensive Cancer Care… In the Heart of Chester County

COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CARE (CCC) is a unique state-of-the-art radiation oncology treatment facility located in the Oaklands Corporate Center in Exton. Begun in 2000, this independent physician- owned and physician-operated center is equipped with the most modern radiation treatment technology available today. Chester County’s leading radiation oncology doctors and ancillary support personnel staff it. CCC’s physicians and staff specialize in the delivery of sophisticated radiation treatment with a personalized commitment to patient comfort and satisfaction. The center also offers an outpatient-oriented facility with easy access and ample parking.

CCC’s Physicians

Drs. Richard M. Yelovich, Gregory J. Ochsner and Won S. Chang are all university-trained and board- certified in radiation oncology. The center’s physicians have been providing experienced, highly-skilled cancer care in several locations within Chester County since 1988. They serve on the medical staff of the majority of all the acute care hospitals in the region. Therefore, regardless of where a patient’s cancer diagnosis and evaluation are made, CCC’s doctors can have access to their medical records and can interact with other specialists and primary care physicians involved in their care and treatment. They provide a full array of radiation cancer treatment delivery.

What is Radiation Oncology?

Radiation therapy, or radiotherapy, involves the use of ionizing radiation to treat many forms of cancer. It can be delivered both internally and externally. The goal of all radiation therapy is to give a tumor a lethal dose of radiation while limiting the exposure to the surrounding healthy tissue. When treating with radiation, sophisticated dose calculations are made in order to contour the shape and intensity of the beam or the internal dose precisely to the targeted area.

Post-Treatment Care and Ongoing Support

Most people undergoing radiation treatment are able to continue with their normal activities. Some may need to adjust their level of activity temporarily during treatment, if recommended. Patients are encouraged to check with their doctor before starting any exercise or fitness program during this time.

Patient Testimonial
“i want to take this time to thank all of you for your care and concern for my well-being. i know that my cancer was on the low end of the risk scale and that others were in much greater danger than i, yet all of you worked with all of the patients in a manner that suited that each patient. You always had a nice greeting and words of encouragement and compassion for all patients. You put smiles on all of our faces and hearts with your light-hearted banter…” - October 2011
