Cutting Edge Technology to Help Healing

Advanced Chiropractic is also known as the premier wellness center in Chester County for its use of cutting edge technology of the low level laser.

The Erchonia low level laser enhances and increases tissue repair in the body. The treatment is based upon scientific light therapy studies; the Erchonia PL5 is the first low level laser to receive approval by the FDA for its safety and effectiveness. Unlike heat lasers, which are used in surgery to remove problematic tissue, the low level laser neither generates heat nor destroys tissue.

The low level laser is used for the treatment of chronic pain, muscle and nerve conditions, wounds, sports injuries, arthritis and edema. Its benefits include increased oxygenation, increased tensile strength of newly healed tissue, reduced swelling, increased blood flow, improved cellular metabolism repair and many more positive benefits.

Dr. Lauren was introduced to the Erchonia low level laser after a personal injury. She then received training from Dr. Jeffrey Spencer, chiropractor for Tour de France winner and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong. Like other healthcare professionals, sports celebrities and patients—including Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods and Tom Brady, she believes laser treatments using the erchonia PL5 play a major role in recovery.

August 26, 2011

I became a patient of Dr. Lauren Schofield about two and a half years ago. At that time my biggest need was relief for a condition diagnosed as fibromyalgia that put my body in a constant state of inflammation. I also began a recommended regimen of exercise three times a week at a local gym. During this period, it became apparent that I also needed a total knee replacement. It was suggested to me that I seek a health practitioner with laser therapy.
Laser therapy has helped me tremendously. Laser therapy helps to reduce inflammation so that you can maintain an active and healthier lifestyle.
After I had the total knee replacement I began treatment with laser therapy four weeks after surgery. This treatment helped reduce scar tissue and adhesions within the healing joint. Having less inflammation also helped me to get back to normal joint usage much more quickly. One and a half years after surgery my knee is 100% in flexibility and usage.
Due to my experience, I would highly recommend laser treatment.
Thank you for a more active life, Dr. Schofield!
